I posted this on FaceBook, but I really want to have it journaled somewhere. Timon came home on Friday with a very cute Mother's Day bag for me. The bag was just big enough to hold some coupons he'd decorated for me. He told me - Mom I threw away a few of the coupons. I asked him which ones. He said, oh, just the hard ones. After a bit more prying - come to find out that he had thrown away 1: clean your room, 2: be an angel for a a day, 3: do the dishes, 4: follow directions. It made me laugh pretty hard, I guess I should be excited to have the free hugs and the babysitting (with dad's help).
Duncan made me a bunch of cards and had a special pre-school program. They read something funny about every mom that the kids said. Duncan said If my mom could go anywhere she would go to WalMart. I have to admit that between price-matching and couponing we do go there quite a bit.
The boys sang with the primary in the front of the church. Timon didn't grab the mic, didn't yell out the wrong words and only pushed one small child out of the way to be by his friend Matthew. Duncan stayed in place and neither one of them knew many of the words. Just grateful for no catastrophes. I still remember the year that Ty reversed all of the words from Love to Hate etc. Happy to not have that repeat.
I made dinner for my mom and we had most of the in-town Brubakers over.
Michael brought flowers and a card from the boys that said, We thought we'd get you something fun and exciting but then we realized that you already have us! So true! I love my boys.
